Ak was minding her business yesterday morning when she came across this Washington Post article about “a small but growing number of drugstores around the country” that don’t stock morning-after pills, condoms, the pill or other forms of birth control. That’s right ladies and gents. These logic-deficient “pro-lifers” believe that the best way to protect fetuses is to keep people from buying the tools to prevent unwanted pregnancies and pesky diseases like umm, HIV. To riff on a popular refrain from Ak’s childhood: A few more like this and we’ll be back in filthy alleys dabbing our foreheads with dingy rags and hoping that the wire hanger has been sterilized well enough that our ovaries won’t come tumbling out.
